Since December is such a busy month for everyone, we have decided to have our Holiday gathering on January 12, 2018.  As in years past, it will probably be a catered meal.  We are now in the process of acquiring a caterer.

We will also have our Dirty  Santa gift exchange.  Each person is asked to bring a gift (can be a gag gift) for no more than $10.00 for the exchange.

Current Blog — The Rock Hill Civitan

The Rock Hill Civitan club is selling one pound Claxton Fruitcakes for $4.00.  All proceeds will be going to fund our projects centered around the special needs community and youth projects.  If you would like to have one or more call Ella Messer at 366-9896 or email at

Our Mission Project for December is Heifer International.

Heifer international’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth.

They empower families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity – but their approach is more than just giving them a handout. Heifer links communities and helps bring sustainable    agriculture and commerce to areas with a long

history of poverty. Our animals provide partners with both food and reliable income, as agricultural products such as milk, eggs and honey can be traded or sold at market.

Quick Weekly Stewardship Update 11/26/17

Our offerings have actually been down considerably below our budgeted needs for the past two weeks. Parker Carter our treasurer has only been able to pay one past due apportionment payment this month. We have 4 more payments needed to make our 2017 commitment. The number has grown and now totals $11,264. The last two years we have asked for additional financial gifts from our members to meet this budget item and we have come thru. Please consider a November or December additional gift this year. As was noted in previous inserts, without our share of the apportionment, many great ministries and churches might not exist. We have been part of this successful mission.
